ADHD in Women
ADHD in Women is intended to help trainers understand the flurry of diagnosis’s in women. Women with ADHD are often masters of “fitting in” and will need a different kind of support to women who function in a cultural-normative way.
Session Format
This session is a panel discussion; we have clients who have recently been diagnosed, personal trainers who have been diagnosed and who have worked with women with ADHD, and a scientist who is involved in education and research of ADHD in girls.
In this session you can expect to learn:
- What is ADHD
- How is ADHD expressed in women and girls?
- What the unique challenges for women and girls living with ADHD are
- How personal trainers can tweak their sessions to make training interesting, meaningful, and effective for a women with ADHD
- How movement can support someone’s management of their ADHD
This course is for trainers who:
- Hold themselves to a higher standard in awareness and training of women
- Have experiences ADHD themselves, or suspect ADHD in a client, or has a client with diagnosed ADHD
- Want to serve women better generally, including those who are neurodivergent
- Are interested in harnessing the superpowers of ADHD to get the most out of every session.
- Are interested in retaining clients with ADHD.
